Heal My Calm

Balance For Life

Unlock Your Full Potential and Reclaim Your Life

Getting started can be the hardest part

Some of our perceptions of our lived experiences create negative, irrational beliefs causing difficulties in how we interact with others, and especially in how we interact with ourselves (e.g., negative self-talk).

To replace those negative, irrational beliefs with more positive, rational beliefs, we must first explore the patterns of behavior that create problems

This is as a journey of self-exploration meant to increase your level of self-understanding and self-awareness. You will, a) identify the changes you want to make in your life, b) recognize the strengths you possess to make these changes happen, and c) develop a successful
plan to put these changes into action.
You are responsible for putting the plan into action.
Action Leads To Change!

I practice as a Personal Consultant & Life Coach. I hold a Master of Science Degree in Community Counseling from Texas A&M University-Commerce. I am a trained mental health professional with the supporting education and previous years of clinical experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have a background in successfully helping others with all issues of mental health, addiction, grief, anxiety, depression, communication, and marriage and family matters. My work consists of providing individual, couple/family, minors, and group guidance. I have the benefit of an education in, and a comprehensive understanding of human behavior as well as the clinical experience essential for the profession.

As I see it, our thoughts comprise our belief system and our belief system is based on what we experience in our lives. More importantly, it’s how we perceive those lived experiences that shape our thoughts of ourselves, others, our inner world, and the outside world. In other words, the sum total of all our life experiences (both good and bad, from the cradle to the present), the lessons we learned (and didn’t learn), and the belief systems to which we were exposed (growing up and as adults, whether we subscribed to them or not), make up how we view the world, ourselves within that world, and how we perceive new experiences and allow those new experiences to affect us.

Some of our perceptions of our experiences create negative, irrational beliefs causing difficulties in how we interact with others, and especially in how we interact with ourselves (e.g., negative self-talk). To replace those negative, irrational beliefs with more positive, rational beliefs, we must first explore the patterns of behavior that create problems for us.

This is as a journey of self-exploration by you, the client, meant to increase your level of self-understanding and self-awareness. You and I will work collaboratively to, a) help you identify the changes you want to make in your life, b) recognize the strengths you possess to make these changes happen, and c) develop a successful plan to put these changes into action. You are responsible for putting the plan into action and action leads to change.

In able to accomplish this, I offer a safe, comfortable environment in which you will feel at ease when discussing your feelings and the changes you would like to make in your life. My style of care is non-judgmental, compassionate, and supportive offering constructive feedback as the process unfolds.
